My son started Soccer practice last year and it’s one of the best choices we have made together as far as sports go, he loves kicking the ball around and he has that extra bit of discipline and concentration that soccer brings his way! Before soccer I was constantly trying to find ways to keep him occupied because, as you know, most kids have unlimited energy, some more than others.

This year was great, he made new friends and learned new moves, his Soccer practice just ended for this season but that doesn’t mean that him and I don’t go out to the park and have a kick around with the ball on sunny days!  When we go out to a game or just play around with a ball in the park there are a few essentials we love to take with us every time.

Fold Away Chairs

This isn’t so much an essential when it’s just us, but for soccer practice, I need a chair to sit on and one that can easily fold up and fit in my car.  Some soccer games and practice sessions last over and hour so whilst I stand up to cheer my son on, I need a seat sometimes so I can sit comfortably and watch my little guy live the dream.

I take my phone with me almost everywhere I go, it has a great camera and when my son is playing in big games I always take my big camera and capture all of those moments that I will want to look back on one day and remember just how much my kids have accomplished! Last year my son got a certificate for successfully completing his first season of training and it was a moment to remember!

If you have other kids, a spouse, grandparents, aunt and uncles I’m sure they will want to capture all of those moments with you and when your child is winning, training hard and accomplishing new things, they will have lots more family members there to cheer them on and show them just how amazing they are!

Yes, you can bring encouragement with you, you can take it everywhere you go!  When my son first started Soccer practice he loved playing but didn’t love it so much when he didn’t win and when he couldn’t complete a task or a training assignment.  I encouraged him every step of the way, I told him he could do it, how amazing he is and that just because you fail at something once, you can always try again, the more you try the better you get at doing what you love.  The littlest bit of encouragement goes far!

It’s important to stay hydrated during soccer practice, not just the kids but the adults who are watching and cheering.  I always bring a cooler filled with water and some of my favorite drinks that will keep me hydrated throughout the day, especially when it’s super hot. POWERADE being my drink of choice, it keeps me hydrated and uses and advanced electrolyte solution called ION4® that replaces four electrolytes lost in sweat: sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium!

I always find the best deals on POWERADE at my local Albertsons, I’m there every day for something as I live just a few blocks away!
