Staying on top of health and fitness is important, especially in my career as a web designer and blogger, I tend to sit at my computer way too much and forget the outside world exists sometimes! Well, that was last year, this year I have been getting out a lot more and making sure that I do. There is nothing more important than health, well being and making time for yourself, even when you have kids and work way too much!
I used to drink water like a fish when I was a kid, no joke. When I started getting older, that turned into soda, coffee and much less water. This year I have been making sure I get at least half a gallon a day, I have noticed a difference in my skin and generally just feeling more hydrated. Water is so important and it’s often forgotten, especially when you are busy, you forget to drink water and look after yourself, set an alert on your phone to drink a glass of water every hour or two during the day!
This really goes without saying, exercise does you the world of good, to some people that may be something that you dread, I used to feel like that. Now I get up and go to the gym once a day and it not only makes me feel better about myself, it releases stress, tension and makes me feel accomplished at the end of it. I am lucky enough to have someone to watch the kids whilst I go to the gym, but even if that’s not an option, take the stroller outside and go for a 30 minute walk around the neighborhood every day, it’s worth it!
Get your Vitamins
I used to feel like it was impossible to get my daily amount of recommended vitamins through food alone and it might well be, because that’s a lot of food to intake! I now take Nature Made® Vitamins on a daily basis and I find that these help me immensely. Getting your daily nutrition is important for your overall health and I feel like I am making better progress at meeting those goals whilst taking Nature Made®.
Nature Made® is the nation’s #1 best-selling brand for quality vitamins, minerals and supplements* to help support nutritional gaps and is the is the number 1 Pharmacist recommended supplement brand in 9 categories.
Fresh air will do you the world of good, even if it’s not delightfully sunny or you don’t live near a beach, just go outside for a while and take in some fresh air. Whenever I am feeling not too great, I step outside and it helps a lot. It helps me refresh and clear my mind.
Last year I ate way too much junk food and this year I have actually stuck to my goals, I’ve been juicing for the past few weeks, I have been eating healthier since January and I feel a heck of a lot better for it! Now, I am no angel, I have had a few bad days but I always try and remind myself why I am doing this, it’s to be healthier, I ask myself, do I want to feel horrible after I eat this burger? Or do I want to stay feeling great right now and eat something healthy?
