Idahoan Mashed Potato Topped Green Bean Casserole is Ah-mazing!
I participated in this event on behalf of Wendy’s Bloggers forIdahoan Foods. I received Idahoan products to facilitate my review.
I have been a fan of Idahoan Potatoes for a very long time, they taste great, flavorful and make the perfect accompaniment to most meals. When it comes cooking meals, I tend to take shortcuts, boiling whole potatoes, peeling them, slicing them and then cooking them takes up way too much of my time and this is another reason I love Idahoan!
They are so easy to make and prepare, boil the correct amount of water then add Idahoan Potatoes, give them a stir then leave them to sit for around 5 minutes, that’s how simple it is!
I have also found that you can eat these potatoes with anything, you can add your own spices, blend them with veggies or meat or add them to a casserole, there are so many different ways I use Idahoan Potatoes with my meals and I enjoy them every time.
I have been trying out some of the various Idahoan Flavored Mash shown above over the past month and have come to love some of the new flavors I have tried! My favorite has always been Buttery Homestyle but my new favorite is now Loaded Baked Mashed Potatoes, they are SO good I could eat a whole bowl full.
Idahoan Potatoes also has lots of recipes on their website that I have been recently made aware of and the first one I tried out was the Idahoan Mashed Potato Topped Green Bean Casserole Recipe.
The potatoes really add an extra touch to green bean casserole and it’s now something I want to incorporate every time!
The recipe is extremely easy to make, as is most green bean casserole recipes but with the addition of Idahoan Potatoes.
First preheat your oven to 350 Degrees. Then get all of your ingredients together.
- 1 4-oz package Idahoan Buttery Mashed Flavored Mashed Potatoes, prepared
- 1 10¾-oz can cream of mushroom soup
- ¾ cup milk
- ⅛ tsp ground black pepper
- 2 cans green beans, drained, or two 9-oz packages frozen green beans, thawed
- 1⅓ cup French’s French Fried Onions, divided
Mix the soup and milk then add pepper and green beans. Stir in ⅔ cup French fried onions. Pour into a 1 ½ quart casserole. Then bake for 30 minutes until hot. Remove from oven and stir casserole. Top with prepared mashed potatoes.
Adjust oven to broil. Toast potatoes under broiler until lightly brown, about 2 minutes. Top with remaining French fried onions and serve.
