One of my favorite things to cook up for myself and my family is a tuna melt, I’ve been making this for years, I used to actually buy something similar to my recipe from a bagel shop in the UK but since I moved to America I’ve had to make my favorite lunch all by myself and it’s gotten even more delicious over the years after adding my own touches!
This post is brought to you by StarKist and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own.
For my recipe I’m using StarKist Tuna Creations BOLD Sriracha which is the main ingredient and brings it all together, before I found out about the new StarKist flavors I used to add a little sriracha but using the StarKist Sriracha flavored tuna makes my recipe a lot tastier!
When I make lunch, I want it to be quick and easy, 10 minutes or less as I don’t have time to cook up a storm when I have work and kids and life to get on with, I want something that will fill me up quickly and doesn’t take long to make.
My favorite thing about StarKist Tuna Creations BOLD is that you can eat the pouches anywhere, even if you don’t have an oven on hand, just open the pouches, stick in your fork and eat away or you can add them to a premixed salad which are great for lunches. Tuna is a great way to add some protein into your meal and each pouch is single serve so you can eat them from anywhere, just open and go!
StarKist Tuna pouches fit perfectly in my handbag so if I am on the go, at my kids soccer practice or just have a really busy day and need a quick snack, I can open up the pouch and take a quick bite of it for that protein that we all need to get us through the day!
We went on a short road trip over the weekend to Montana and StarKist Tuna Pouches were a life saver, it was a 6 hour drive to get to our destination and if you’ve ever drove through Montana you will know that the majority of the stretch doesn’t have any restaurants or fast food joints so it’s important to bring your own food to snack on. I always get super hungry when I’m on a road trip and I need something quick and easy to give me that much needed protein, straight from the fork, you can indulge in StarKist Tuna Creations BOLD Sriracha!
Now onto my recipe, I’ve been excited to share this for so long and the new StarKist Tuna Creations BOLD Sriracha flavor gave me the perfect opportunity!
For this recipe you will need a pouch StarKist Tuna Creations BOLD Sriracha, plain bagels, cheese, mayonnaise, tomatoes, salt and pepper. First, slice your bagel in half and add it to a baking sheet, put some cheese in the center, I used a cheddar jack mix but you can use whatever cheese you like!
After you’ve added your cheese, add some mayonnaise, this will melt into the bread when you’re cooking it and create a nice flavor! Next, top you’re bagel with StarKist Tuna Creations BOLD, add more mayonnaise and sprinkle with a little bit salt and pepper.
To finish off the inside top with some more cheese (it’s delicious when it melts into the tuna!) and chop up some tomatoes, place them on top of the cheese. Add the top to your bagel and sprinkle with some more cheese! Add the bagel to your toaster oven or any oven and bake at 400 degrees for about 6 minutes.
When you’re bagel is done, the cheese will be melting into the tuna, you’ll have that amazing cheese filled bagel hold on the top and bottom mixed with the spicy bold sriracha tuna flavor, the ingredients go perfectly together and you’re meal will be complete in about 10 minutes!
StarKist Tuna Creations BOLD are available in 6 different flavors, so if you’re not a fan of sriracha, you can add any of the other flavors to your melty cheese bagel instead! Varieties include StarKist Tuna Creations BOLD Thai Chili Style, Tuna Creations BOLD Jalapeño, Tuna Creations BOLD Hot Buffalo Style, Tuna Creations BOLD Tapatío, Tuna Creations® BOLD Sriracha and Tuna Creations BOLD with Rice Beans in Hot Sauce.
The Tuna Creations BOLD Sriracha flavor is made from red chili peppers, garlic and vinegar. With a garlicky spicy kick, this tuna is the perfect addition to any tuna meals and snacks!

Get in my belly! I love tuna melts, and this looks like a great variation on my old favorite. It also looks easy, which is a huge selling point for me.
This looks scrumptious and I love how easy this recipe is to create on the go! Such a healthy way to get our protein too!
Oh that sriracha tuna must be really good. I think this is an awesome bagel idea! All of that cheese should be great with the tuna!
This sounds great. I’m going to have to try this. I run out of ideas for lunch and this is a great idea. Thanks!
Adding Siriacha to tune sound like a pretty awesome idea. Those packages are great to use for lunches. Never thought about putting it on a bagel. Great idea.
That is an easy meal to make! It’s nice to have some quick meal ideas on hand for all those busy days we have. Sounds great!
Oooh this looks so good! Definitely something I would like to keep on hand for those busy days! Though I would put mine in a lettuce wrap!
I’ve seen this one before but I’ve never paid much attention to it! It looks really good plus I love that it has sriracha flavor! I’m sure it’s really tasty!
Bagel melts are so often underrated. Don’t people know how good bagels are! And Bagel sammies! This makes my mouth water
I need to try these new tuna packets. This sounds delicious too. I don’t eat tuna very often because my husband doesn’t care for the smell. I enjoy it occasionally.
Those are some really awesome ways to enjoy tuna! I am used to just eating salad sandwiches!
Oh yum! I can just imagine how good this is with the Siracha spiciness and the melted cheese! Just yum!
Yes! I love Sriracha and tuna. I have never combine the two though.
Yum!!! I bet your tuna melt made with Starkist Siracha tuna is delicious. I would love to try Starkist’s Siracha tuna for myself. I’ll have to look for it at the grocery store.
I don’t eat seafood, but I made a taco casserole with the StarKist Tuna Creations Bold Sriracha. My family loved it, but they talked about how spicy it was! ~lol~ They’d love this recipe, too. Thanks for sharing it!
I’ve never tried Sriracha tuna, but this looks absolutely delicious. I’m definitely going to be trying this for lunch one day this week.
