Surface Hair Curls Shampoo, Conditioner and Mousse Review

May 29, 2014

I recently received some Surface Hair Curls products to review, let me say, I usually straighten my hair, mainly because I like it straight and when I try to curl it goes frizzy no matter what I use.  I’m pleased to say I had a really positive experience with Surface products!

 About Surface Curls Hair

Surface is commited to providing proffesional hair care products, education and tools exclusively to independent salons all whilst respecting personal health and the earth.  Certified organic cocoa butter, babasu oil and amaranth melt into the hair to help soothe brittle, frizzy curls.

The hair care products are rich in Vitamin K and cocoa provides the hair with healthy elasticity and control, whilst Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids help to keep hair moisturized.  Surface curls can be used for all hair types.

Surface Curls Shampoo

Let me start by saying that Surface curls shampoo and conditioner both smell like birthday cake, well that’s what I think!  I’m guessing it’s a mix of the cocoa butter and other ingredients, but I really, I wanted to eat it! The shampoo lathers extremely easily so you only need to use a tiny little bit,  I have really long and thick hair and I still used too much!  The shampoo will definitely last you a while.

The Surface Curls Shampoo moisturizes, cleanses, sofrens and adds a shine to your hair and I can verify this!  The shampoo is  Gluten Free, Paraben free, Vegan and never tested on animals.

Surface Curls Conditioner

I normally leave conditioner in my hair for about 3 minutes to get the full effect, my hair is really long and tangles easily so I love when conditioners add some moisture to my hair.  You also don’t need to use half a bottle of this conditioner, it spreads around your hair really easily, a little bit goes a long way.  After using it, I could get a brush through my hair with ease, it left my hair very easy to manage!

The Surface Curls Conditioner moisturizes, softens, detangles and adds a shine.  It certainly detangled my hair and left it feeling moist!  The conditioner is also Gluten Free, Paraben free, Vegan and never tested on animals.

Surface Curls Curl Whip Mousse

I don’t think I have ever used a mousse that is so thin and light, when you squeeze mousse on your hand you usually get that thick mousse like feel.  This mousse is different, it also lasted all day, as I am sitting here writing this my curls are still in place. One of the things I really like about this mousse is that it also separates my curls and leaves my hair frizz free and gorgeous!

Surface Curls Mousse is designed to Hydrate and Style your hair. The conditioner is also Gluten Free, Paraben free, Vegan and never tested on animals.

The Result

unnamed (5)

I would have loved to show my face in this photo but I am just getting over an eye infection I look like i’ve went 3 rounds in a cage fight.

I pretty much used this as a 3 step system, Shampoo, Condition, Style and it worked!  Keep in mind i’m not a hair dresser!

Overall I am super impressed with the results.  My hair usually goes frizzy after about an hour out in the sun, and when I say frizzy, I mean Monica from friends in Vegas frizzy, It’s ridiculous.

Now my hair has pretty much stayed put all day, no friziness, and the curls have stayed in place.  I don’t have extremely curly hair but i’m guessing this would work even better on extreme curls!

What do you think of Surface Curls?  If you have curly hair this is a must have!

I also use Surface products and love them! My hair is so soft and healthy. My hairdresser told me about the new Surface Curls products out and when I am done with my Surface Trinity liters of shampoo and conditioner, I intend on purchasing the Surface Curls version. I have long straight hair and my hairdresser says that with the Surface Curls, my hair will will be easily maintained and styled.
